Dear Faith Readers,
Now that winter is finally over, it’s
time for the transformation into spring. The summer birds are returning and the
plants are budding. Nature is awakening. This is one of the most spectacular times
of the year.
Happy Easter |
It’s also the time we celebrate
what Jesus did for us over 2000 years ago. The bible tells us it was God’s plan
from the beginning of creation—just as he knew each of us, also at that moment.
Soon, we will celebrate Jesus’ death
and resurrection. What a joyous occasion for us. For his family, friends, and
followers, the crucifixion was anything but joyous. Without the knowledge to
understand what was really happening, Jesus died on that horrific cross on that
catastrophic day, with them watching, as their hearts were breaking. Their hopes
and dreams crushed in bewilderment.
To enter God’s kingdom, we would first
need redeeming. Jesus did exactly that over 2000 years ago. He died on that terrible cross at Calvary for
our sins. We were redeemed by his blood on that historic day. The most
important day in history; the day the world calendar reversed. The day our sins
were atoned for.
Thank you Jesus for your loving
gift that we do not deserve and can’t repay.
In thanks, we give you our worship and devote our lives to you.
Happy Easter,
Shepard Cross
